A report by Nielsen Media Research has revealed CNN's embarrassing ratings. Between August 6th and August 12th, CNN failed in cable ratings, losing to Fox News, and the History Channel show "Ancient Aliens" in primetime. Fox News was the number one network for primetime, recieving 2.18 million viewers, MSNBC took second with 1.75 million viewers.
CNN finished in seventh place, falling behind HGTV, USA, The History channel, and TBS, with an embarrassing 992,000 average viewership. The History Channel's show "Ancient Aliens," a show investigating the alien conspiracy theory crushed CNN with 1.06 million viewers in primetime.
