​Barr Lays Down The Law: Hunter Biden Under Federal Investigation

   2020 Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, revealed on Wednesday he is under federal investigation over his taxes by Delaware federal prosecutors.

   “I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs," Hunter said.

   “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” Hunter added.

   Spokeswomen for the U.S. attorney for Deleware, Kim Reeves, said in a email, "Per DOJ [Department of Justice] policy, we cannot comment on an ongoing investigation.”

   This comes as Attorney General William Barr has been urged to appoint a special counsel to oversee an investigation into Biden and his family.

   “We request that the Department of Justice immediately appoint an independent, unbiased special counsel to investigate the issues that we have raised,” Chariman of the House Freedom Caucus, Rep. Andy Biggs, said in a letter.
