"I can’t think of any reason," Biden answered.
"I appreciate the energy you all showed when I got up here. Save it a little longer, I may need it in a few weeks. Be careful what you wish for," Biden added.
This comes after a House Democrat spoke with former Vice President in the past week and told The Hill Biden will run for president. The lawmaker said Biden said, "I'm giving it a shot."
During the phone call, Biden reportedly "bounced some campaign strategy ideas off the lawmaker and invited the lawmaker to sit down with him in person in the near future," according to The Hill.
Biden did not reveal when he would officially announce his candidacy for president for the upcoming 2020 election.
