Billionaire Democrat 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg dropped out of the Democrat presidential primary on Tuesday after getting trounced on Super Tuesday despite spending $500 million on his campaign.
"I've always believed that defeating Donald Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. After yesterday's vote, it is clear that candidate is my friend and a great American, Joe Biden," Bloomberg said. "I've known Joe for a very long time. I know his decency, his honesty, and his commitment to the issues that are so important to our country - including gun safety, health care, climate change, and good jobs," he added. President Donald Trump called out billionaire 2020 Democrat presidential candidate former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg as the biggest Super Tuesday "loser" in a tweet on Tuesday night. Bloomberg was on track to win big on Super Tuesday. But was beaten by presidential candidates former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Sanders. Bloomberg lost so poorly, he is even considering suspending his campaign as early as Wednesday. "The biggest loser tonight, by far, is Mini Mike Bloomberg. His 'political' consultants took him for a ride. $700 million washed down the drain, and he got nothing for it but the nickname Mini Mike, and the complete destruction of his reputation. Way to go Mike," Trump wrote.
