Tech giant officials are returning to the nation’s capital to testify about their efforts in cracking down on extremist content online. The head’s of Global Public Policy for Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter are set to appear before the Senate Commerce Committee on Wednesday.
During the hearing, each representative is expected to discuss how they are handling extremist propaganda on social media platforms.They will cover how they are preventing the spread of those posts. The meeting comes just months after the companies faced speculation surrounding alleged Russian purchases of advertisements during the 2016 presidential election
