 President Donald Trump's air strikes targeting "Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces umbrella grouping of Iran-backed Shi’ite militias near camp Taji north of Baghdad have killed six people and critically wounded three," according to Reuters. North of Baghdad, two vehicles in the Iran-back militia convoy were found burned along with six burnt terrorist corpses. Iran's top military figure, Qasem Soleimani, was killed in airstrikes at a Baghdad airport in Iraq on Friday morning at the direction of President Donald Trump. "We took action last night to stop a war. We did not take action to start a war," Trump said during an address from Mar-a-Lago. "He was planning a very major attack and we got him," Trump said during a speech to Evangelicals for Trump in Miami. "General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region," The Pentagon said in a statement. Soleimani is responsible for the Quds Force attacks on coalition bases in Iraq, the US embassy attack in Baghdad on December 1 killing, and for a strike on December 27 killing an American contractor and Iraqi personnel.
