President Trump plans to attend a meeting with some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful figures at the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, The White House said Tuesday.
The president’s trip to Davos was in jeopardy Monday because of the continuing negotiations to end the government shutdown.“At this year’s World Economic Forum, the president looks forward to promoting his policies to strengthen American businesses, American industries, and American workers.”
The billionaire president, who ran as a populist, will get a chance to huddle with some of the world’s richest individuals as well as top government officials from around the globe. The forum will take place from Jan. 23 to Jan. 26.
