2020 Democrat presidential candidate Eric Swalwell held a speech on Monday in Fairfax, Virginia against the National Rifle Association. During the speech, Swalwell urged for a ban of all assault weapons, according to Politico.
"It is time to ban and buy back every single assault weapon — making sure first and foremost no more assault weapons are manufactured in the future but also with a plan to buy back the 15 million that are in circulation in our communities today," he said.
The NRA responded to Swalwell's speech by tweeting, "Look! All of the presidential candidate Swalwell's supporters came out to our headquarters today. No wonder he is polling at 0%."
This comes as President Donald Trump's planned re-election rally in Orlando on Tuesday has thousands of supporters lined up FORTY-HOURS before the rally begins.
"Thousands of people are already lined up in Orlando, some two days before tomorrow nights big Rally. Large Screens and food trucks will be there for those that can’t get into the 25,000 capacity arena. It will be a very exciting evening! Make America Great Again," President Donald Trump wrote.
