Many have begun calling on President Donald Trump to declare martial law to guarantee he remains President for the next four years, which would give Trumpfull power enforced by the military, suspend civil law, civil rights, and suspend habeas corpus.
Retired Army lieutenant general and Trump's former national security adviser, who Trump recently pardoned, Michael Flynn, urged Trump to "immediately declare a limited form of Martial Law, and temporarily suspend the Constitution and civilian control of these federal elections, for the sole purpose of having the military oversee a re-vote."
"We are at the point where we can only trust our military to do this because our corrupt political class and courts have proven their inability to act fairly and within the law," the "We The People" group said.
Atlanta-based attorney Lin Wood also took to Twitter to recommend Trump declare martial law, writing, "Good morning. Our country is headed to civil war. A war created by 3rd party bad actors for their benefit - not for We The People."
"Communist China is leading the nefarious efforts to take away our freedom. Donald Trump should declare martial law," Wood added.
