​MILESTONE: 50 Appellate Court Judges, 9 Circuit Judges CONFIRMED Under Trump

   The Senate confirmed President Donald Trump's 50th appellate court appointment on Wednesday with the confirmation of Lawrence VanDyke to the 9th Circuit.

   There are 30 active seats on the 9th Circuit and Trump appointed 10 of them. Only nine of the court's "senior status" judges were appointed by Democrats.

   "FIFTY CIRCUIT COURT JUDGES! Donald Trump, Mitch McConnel, Chuck Grassley, and Lindsey Graham reached a MILESTONE today with the confirmation of Lawrence VanDyke to the Ninth Circuit, making this the 50th circuit confirmation and delivering on their campaign promises," Judicial Crisis Network's chief counsel and policy director, Carrie Severino tweeted.

   "The President and his Senate allies have answered the call of the American people, who have made it clear through the democratic process that they want judges who adhere to the Constitution and don't impose an agenda from the bench. That is exactly what they are getting," she added.
