Former President Barack Obama took credit for President Donald Trump's "economic growth" in a tweet on Presidents' Day despite claiming before the 2016 election the economy would crash if Trump won

"Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history," Obama wrote.

Back in June 2016, Obama said of Trump at a PBS town hall, "He just says, 'Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.' Well, what, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.”
