Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg was interviewed by CNN during for a town hall on Monday. Buttigieg promised a "pathway to citizenship" for the eleven million illegal aliens if he's elected president, which he won't be.
"There are over ten million people who are undocumented immigrants in this country who don’t fall into [the DACA] category and the reality is we can’t have comprehensive immigration reform that works unless it addresses the status for those 11 some undocumented immigrants," Buttigieg said. "What we need to do is make sure there is a pathway to citizenship for them too," he added. The inexperienced candidate says his immigration reform would include a pathway to citizenship for all illegal aliens. "We know the outlines to comprehensive immigration reform. A pathway to citizenship, a level of protection for dreamers, a set of reforms to clear up the bureaucracy, and reasonable measures on border security. We know what to do. We don’t have the leadership in D.C to do it," Buttigieg wrote on Twitter.
