One of President Donald Trump's promises was to "focus on ending the absolutely horrific practice of human trafficking."
President Trump signed the "Trafficking Victims Protection Re-authorization Act (S. 1862)" on Wednesday afternoon. This authorizes $430 million to fight sex and labor trafficking. President Trump has fought hard against human traffickers under his administration. In fact, he has arrested the most human traffickers than any other President. Back in October 2018, while speaking at the annual meeting of the Inter-agency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, President Trump discussed his plan to "tackle" human trafficking. Since Taking office, President Trump has raged war against human trafficking. Thanks to Trump, human trafficking arrests have reached an all-time high. According to The White House, in April 2018, Trump signed "historic legislation into law to combat online sex trafficking, holding perpetrators accountable and ensuring justice for survivors." Trump also issued an Executive Order directing his Administration to "crack down" on transnational criminal organizations that use human trafficking. The Trump administration has been working hard to end the "absolutely horrific practice of human trafficking." According to new statistics, human trafficking arrests have hit an all time high, thanks to President Trump. The highest amount of human traffickers have been arrest in 2018, there have been 5,987 arrests to June 23. This is a huge accomplishment that the mainstream media won't cover. Under the Obama Administration there were little arrests. Starting in 2010, there were 300 arrests. In 2011 there were 938 arrests. In 2012 there were 967 arrests. In 2013 there were 1,877 arrests. In 2014 there were 1,771 arrests. In 2015 there were 1,437 arrests. In 2016 there were 1,952 arrests. Then, with new President Donald Trump, there were 3,213 arrests in 2017. The most recent statistic is in 2018 to June 23, which reveals 5,987 human traffickers have been arrested. President Donald Trump said in March of 2018, "My Administration will focus on ending the absolutely horrific practice of human trafficking. And I am prepared to bring the full force and weight of our government, whatever we can do, in order to solve this horrific problem." "This is an urgent humanitarian issue. My administration is committed to leveraging every resource we have to confront this threat, to support the victims and survivors, and to hold traffickers accountable for their heinous crimes,"
