WATCH: Construction Of Border Wall Has Begun In Texas

 The El Paso Times released a video revealing construction of the border wall has begun in El Paso, Texas. They video shows old fencing being replaced with a wall in Chihuahuita, El Paso. This is a four mile portion of an 18-foot-tall steel bollard wall. 

  The estimated cost is $22 million, projecting the the wall to be completed in late April 2019. United States Customs and Border Protection said, "El Paso Sector continues to experience a high number of apprehensions of illegal aliens and drug smuggling." The release read, "In fiscal year 2017, El Paso Sector apprehended 25,193 illegal aliens, seized 34,189 pounds of marijuana and 140 pounds of cocaine. Additionally during that fiscal year, there were 54 assaults against El Paso Sector agents.”
