2020 presumptive Democrat nominee former Vice President Joe Biden claimed on Thursday President Donald Trump "doesn't want an election" because Trump opposes mass-mail voting.
"President Trump said that he opposes funding for Postal Service, tying it to mail-in voting. What do you think about that?" a reporter asked.
"It's pure Trump. He doesn't want an election," Biden answered.
Trump told Fox News Business Network host Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday that because he was against more funding for mass-mail-in voting and the Post Office was the reason Democrat congressional leadership refused to agree to coronavirus relief for Americans hurt by the pandemic. “They want $3.5 billion for something that’ll turn out to be fraudulent, that’s election money, basically. They want $3.5 billion for the mail-in votes, okay, universal mail-in ballots, 3.5 trillion," Trump said. "They want $25 billion, billion, for the Post Office. Now they need that money in order to have the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots. Now, in the meantime, they aren’t getting there.
