A panel of three judges on the federal court of appeals in D.C. rejected a lawsuit that requested to force the IRS to release President Donald Trump's tax returns. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals explained not all records can be accessed by the public through a Freedom of Information Act request.
"No one can demand to inspect another’s tax records. And the IRC [Internal Revenue Code]’s confidentiality protections extend to the ordinary taxpayer and the President alike," Judge Karen LeCraft said.
